The easy way to obtain blurriness in your photographs is to play with your settings. Experiment with your shutter speed, you can begin by setting your shutter speed anywhere between 1/30 and 2 seconds then move your camera slightly to the left & right. You can change the direction of the movement according to your needs. You can rotate the camera in a clockwise motion to get a magnificent swirling effect.

Go for Reflections

How many of you love reflection shots? Well, it’s the natural tool for shooting abstract photographs. Whether the reflection is on the surface of water or the shiny slides of the buildings or reflection through the glass, it all gives something meaningful to click.

Instead of shooting the thing itself, experiment with the reflection to form aesthetically pleasing abstract images. Place the subject in the reflection and shoot it, you can later flip the photographs to give mysterious feelings to the users.

Look for Shadows & Lights

Just like reflections, light and shadows can also be intriguing subjects to go for abstract photography. The use of light and shadows in abstract photography creates drama and depth in the photographs. It helps to draw the attention of the users.

Try to add pair with bright white light and deep black in your photographs, doing so your abstract photographs will have greater tonal diversity and creates greater depth of field in the image.

Shoot through objects

Another great way to shoot abstract images is to click through objects. Whether it’s the water bottle or the glass you had coffee this morning, these little objects can be handy to create marvelously and eye gazing abstract photographs. Place the object in front of the camera and click through it.

You can experiment with other different objects like a prism, plastic wrapping paper, or even through droplets of water.
