How to build your Portfolio?

Since this is the platform for photographers, we are way more focused on Photographer’s needs and help them to flourish their creativity. With the sole intention to help every photographer, we have come up with Portfolio section where you can include various information and share it with your friends and colleagues.

Once you go to the portfolio section, you can probably see the message stating that your portfolio is incomplete. Well, that’s because you haven’t filled up anything. In order to make your profile more attractive, you should fill out all the information. To know what’s your profile looks like, click on “Preview Your Profile” on the upper right-hand side.

We have tried to simplify the things and make your profile look attractive at the same time. We will discuss every part of this portfolio and if you are still not clear then you can simply hover your mouse to “i” sign. For instance, Portfolio URL – Unique Username that will be your URL.

The first part of the Portfolio consists of Banner Image, Portfolio Images, Portfolio URL, Biography, Date of Birth (DOB), Gender and the Tagline.

Banner Image: It is the image of your profile page or you can relate this to the Facebook cover picture.

Portfolio Image: Now, this is a significant part of Neptos portfolio. This is the part where you can showcase your best work. You can upload up to 10 images in this section.

Biography: We don’t have to explain much about this. You can describe yourself, write about your hobbies or passion. This is the part where you can be creative and make a good impression on your visitors.

Date of Birth (DOB): It’s not mandatory to include your date of birth. However, if you would like other’s to know your birth date, then this is the place for it.

Gender: It’s clear, tick on Male or Female or Others

Tag Line: Describe yourself in a very few words, as a quote may be?

After filling up the form, click on the “Save” button and preview your portfolio. Here’s the quick look of the Profile that we have just made.

It contains all the images that you have chosen in “Portfolio Images”.

This section allows you to connect your social media channels. Just type the address of your social media accounts and save it. As you can see, you can add your Facebook account, Instagram, Youtube, Flickr, 500px, Pinterest and your own website.

Tell us about your area of specialization by adding your skills for instance: Portrait Photography, Wildlife Photography, Nature Photography etc.

Last but not the least, “Featured In the section”. This can be very handy if you are a renowned photographer or had your work featured in other platforms. You can simply write the title and put the link of the source.

We are constantly working on behalf of Nepalese photographers and will try to include the additional feature in near future. Till then, enjoy uploading.
